The best female player award went to Jeon Ah-hyeon (Seoul K-League Gangyong FC) and Lee So-mi (Gyeongnam Namgangcho). The best leader award was given to coach Han Chul, who leads Seoul Chungam U12.

Chairman Cha Beom-geun said, “I am very happy and honored to be able to give to the future of Korean soccer for 35 years. When I was giving the award to your idol Park Ji-sung, I was a man, but now I am a grandfather. Over the past 35 years, Korean football has been slow but improving. Korean football has gone up two notches (from the 1970s). Like this, my juniors brought Korean soccer forward little by little. I am grateful and proud,” he said.

He spared no advice to those who would lead the future of Korean football. Chairman Cha Beom-geun said, “Now, on weekends, our players are scoring goals all over the world. Now it’s your (winner’s) turn. I will sincerely support your future,” he said. “There is something I want to ask you. It means to be a good person who does great things as well as a player. He will become a great player only when his soccer skills and the roots of his thinking grow together. Players with deep thoughts are loved for a long time rather than players who are only good at soccer. Fans love players who are thoughtful and considerate. Let’s all try to be great people, good people from today onwards. I encourage him to shine as a proud soccer player with great character.”

The Cha Bum-Keun Soccer Award is given to a young Korean soccer player who has performed well throughout the year. It started in December 1988, and this magazine and the Boys Hankook Ilbo participated. From the 29th awards ceremony in 2017, it was organized by Kakao, sponsored by the Korea Football Association (KFA), Adidas, and Coca-Cola, and co-established by Ilgan Sports.  메이저놀이터

The 35th Cha Bum-Keun Soccer Award awarded a total of 19 winners, including 18 promising soccer players (16 males and 2 females) and one coach. The Cha Bum-Kun Football Award Committee judged the top 15% of the players recommended online by 361 KFA Class 1 youth coaches and selected the winners.

The winners and leaders will experience advanced soccer by going on an expedition to Germany in July with the help of the German Professional Football Federation (DFL) as the ‘Timcha Boom Germany Expedition’.
