DP World Tour runner-up Reed leaps from 90th to 57th in the world golf rankings

Reporter Kim Dong-chan = Patrick Reed (USA) jumped to 57th in the men’s golf world rankings.

Reid, who finished second alone at the DP World Tour Hero Dubai Desert Classic (total prize money of 9 million dollars), which ended in Dubai, UAE on the 30th, rose 33 places to 57th in the world rankings announced on the day.

Reed, who plays an active part in the LIV series launched in June of last year, has been declining in the world ranking since leaving the PGA tour.

This is because although a huge amount of money is at stake in the LIV series competitions, including the prize money of 4 million dollars (approximately 4.92 billion won) for individual championships, world ranking points cannot be received.

Reid’s world ranking, which was 36th before transferring to the LIV series in June of last year, has recently dropped to 90th.

However, he regained his ranking to 57th by finishing runner-up at the DP World Tour event, where world ranking points were staked.

Players belonging to the LIV series cannot participate in PGA Tour events, but can participate in DP World Tour or Asian Tour events. 메이저사이트

Max Homa (USA), who won the PGA Tour Farmers Insurance Open (total prize money of $8.7 million), rose from 16th to 13th, while Kim Joo-hyung (21), who was in 13th, fell to 14th.

Lim Seong-jae (25), who finished fourth at the Farmers Insurance Open, rose slightly from 19th to 18th.
