‘Challenging for a winning streak’ Gyeongnam extends lead with win over Bucheon
Gyeongnam FC challenges for a winning streak
Gyeongnam FC will host Bucheon FC in the 26th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2 2023 at Bucheon Sports Complex at 7 p.m. on April 14.
Gyeongnam bounced back with a 2-1 away win against Seoul Eland last time out. The win ended a four-match winless streak (two draws and two losses) and put them back in contention for the title. With 41 points, Gyeongnam is now four points behind leader Gimcheon Sangmu (45 points).
Against Lee Land, Gyeongnam celebrated with Won Ki-jong’s first goal from the halfway line and Seol Hyun-jin’s final goal from mid-range. Most importantly, the team’s movement has improved, not just in the forward line but as a whole. The ball distribution of Song Hong-min and Castro in the midfield was a major contributor to the victory as they helped develop the offense. The defense, including captain Uhm Woo-sung, Lee Kang-hee, Park Jae-hwan, and goalkeeper Ko Dong-min, were stable.바카라사이트
Gyeongnam won 1-0 against Bucheon in the opening match of the season. With a head-to-head record of 14 wins, 3 draws, and 8 losses, Gyeongnam is determined to get back to winning ways against Bucheon, their first opponent this season, and gain an edge in the race for the top spot.
Coach Seol Ki-hyun said after the game, “We’ve been disappointed with our results in the last four games, but we’re happy to get a win at a crucial time. We were able to respond well to the opponent’s changes and pull through to win. We got a valuable result against Seoul Eland, who we lost to this year. We will try to win the upcoming match against Bucheon.”
Meanwhile, Gyeongnam is selling away bus merchandise through its official online store, Gangnam Store. The away bus merchandise for Bucheon will be available until midnight on the 10th.
